Market Corner Conversations: Merrill Goozner, Modern Healthcare Editor Emeritus & Author

Merrill Goozner passionately points out the stark contrast between well-functioning industries and the US pharma industry, especially its relationship with the government and pharma pricing. Dave Johnson certainly relates to Merrill’s perspective.

In Episode 17 of Market Corner Conversations, Merrill and Dave discuss the ills the pharmaceutical industry has foisted on the US people and economy and the waste in our system. And they explore possible solutions to the dysfunction, while admitting that the change will be drastic.

Merrill Goozner is Editor Emeritus of Modern Healthcare, having served as Editor from 2012-2017. During his four decades in journalism, he served as a foreign, national and chief economics correspondent for the Chicago Tribune and as a professor of journalism at New York University. He is the author of The $800 Million Pill: The Truth Behind the Cost of New Drugs.
