4sight Health: What We’re Grateful For in 2025

We went around the table at 4sight Health this week, talking about what we’re grateful for related to healthcare. It can be challenging to find a silver lining when you’re frustrated beyond belief, but some interesting ideas came up.

4sight Health CEO David W. Johnson said, “I’m grateful for the legions of Healthcare Revolutionaries rising each day to transform America’s broken system.”

He says revolutionaries exhibit three winning qualities:

[W] Wisdom in recognizing the urgency for change.

[I] Insight into how to drive change.

[N] Nerve enough to overcome inertia and vested interests.

“Nothing can stop them!”

Another recognizable voice on the 4sight Health team, 4sight Health’s David Burda, said, “I’m grateful for all the regional, state, county and local public health agencies that are ignoring our addle-brained and conspiracy-minded HHS Secretary and providing fact-based, evidence-supported and science-tested public health guidance to their patient populations.”

More bright spots in the healthcare system include:

  • Virtual healthcare

  • Nurses who pay attention
  • Price transparency in planned medical procedures

  • Electronic medical records

  • Vaccines

  • New cell and gene therapies

  • Commercially available continuous glucose monitors

  • Mandated reporters in the medical field

And of course, Mabel, the emotional support puppy at Minnesota Radiation Oncology.

Feel free to respond with your own thoughts on what we shouldn’t overlook in American healthcare. Is there more to be thankful for?
